This game is a fun and active conversation starter.  For best results, prepare your beach ball beforehand.

Number of People: You can play with just two people, or pair up with another mentor/mentee set and enjoy more conversation!

Supplies: You’ll need a a permanent marker and a fairly large blow-up beach ball that can be purchased at most discount stores.

Instructions

Blow up your beach ball. Make a list of questions you’d like your participants to answer, and write a question or two on each stripe of the ball.

Sample questions:

• What is the funniest movie you’ve ever seen?

• If you were a cartoon or comic character, who would you be?
• What is the worst thing you’ve ever tasted? Did you swallow it or spit it out?
• What one thing have you kept forever that you really should throw away?
• What is your favorite toy?
• Who is your favorite person and why?
• If you were a superhero, what powers would you have?
• What is your dream car?
• Who is the most famous person you’ve met?
• How do you celebrate your birthday?
• What is one thing you want to do when you grow up?
• Where would you love to go on a vacation?

To play the game, toss the ball to each other.  Whichever question is closest to the catcher’s left thumb, they get to answer.  You can set time limits to make things move along faster.  Have a ball. 🙂
